Refund Policy

If you haven't used your AI credits, we'll refund you. Once any credits are used in a billing cycle, that cycle isn't refundable. Refunds are requested by email, and we always honor the rights your local law guarantees.

1. Scope

This policy applies to paid CarouselMaker subscriptions. During the current beta period there are no charges, so no refunds are required. Once we launch officially this policy will apply to every paying Member.

2. Refund If Credits Are Unused

If you have never used your AI credits, we will refund you regardless of the billing cycle.

  • Eligible if you have not used a single credit
  • Unused credit packs (still within their validity) are refunded for the remaining balance
  • Charges caused by our error (double billing, system fault) are refunded within 3 business days of your request

The 14-day window starts on the day your payment is completed.

3. Refund Limited Once Credits Are Used

Each AI generation request uses 1 credit. Credits are a digital result consumed the moment the AI writes for you, so the fee for any billing cycle in which you used a credit is not refundable. (This is "digital content whose supply has begun" under Korea's E-Commerce Act, Art. 17(2) and Enforcement Decree Art. 21.)

That's why we give you free credits to try first. Create with your free credits before paying, and pay only when you're happy.

Swapping photos and downloading do not use credits, so they don't affect refund eligibility. If the law where you live (e.g., the EU/UK) guarantees a broader refund, that law takes precedence.

4. How to Request a Refund

Refunds are accepted only by email to the operator. Please include the following details.

  • The email address used at sign-up
  • Date of payment and the payment method used
  • (Optional) Why you are requesting a refund — feedback helps us improve

5. Processing Time

Once we confirm your request, we issue the refund to your original payment method within 7 business days. Card issuers and banks may take additional days to post the credit.

6. Payments, Tax & Refunds

Payments are processed by Polar (Polar Software, Inc.) as the Merchant of Record (the seller of record). Polar handles card billing, tax (VAT) calculation and collection, invoicing, and refund execution.

The consumer rights guaranteed by the law where you live — including the EU — are honored through that seller of record. To request a refund, email the operator; our team reviews it and processes it through Polar.

7. When Refunds Aren't Available

  • The fee for a billing cycle in which AI credits were used (digital content whose supply has begun)
  • More than 14 days have passed since payment (except where your local law guarantees otherwise)
  • Refunds requested repeatedly over a short period beyond normal use (subject to team review)
  • The account was suspended for terms violation, abuse, or fraud
  • The refund request involves an account obtained through transfer or resale
